Custom Channel Letter Signs Across the San Francisco Bay Area
Sam's Signs is a full-service sign company based in San Leandro, California, serving businesses throughout the San Francisco Bay Area since 1986. We design, fabricate, and install custom channel letter signs for retail stores, restaurants, offices, medical facilities, and commercial properties across all four counties we cover.
Our service area spans Alameda County, San Francisco County, San Mateo County, and Santa Clara County — from Oakland and San Jose to San Francisco, Fremont, Palo Alto, and dozens of cities in between. Wherever your business is in the Bay Area, our team can reach you.
Every channel letter sign we produce is fabricated in house at our San Leandro shop using commercial-grade aluminum, acrylic faces, and LED lighting systems. We handle design, permitting, fabrication, and professional installation from start to finish.

Channel Letter Services for the
Greater Bay Area & Northern California
From a single storefront sign to a multi-location rollout across the greater Bay Area and Northern California — we handle design, permitting, fabrication, and installation.
Front-Lit Channel Letters
LED modules illuminate the acrylic face from inside, producing bright and highly visible signage day and night. The standard choice for retail storefronts, restaurants, and commercial buildings throughout the Bay Area and Northern California.
Halo-Lit Channel Letters
Light projects behind the letter onto the wall surface, creating an elegant halo glow. Popular with professional offices, tech companies, and high-end brands across San Francisco, Palo Alto, and the Silicon Valley corridor.
Raceway & Direct Mount
We assess every location and recommend the right mounting method. Raceway for multi-tenant strip centers. Direct (flush) mounting for standalone buildings where a clean architectural finish is the priority.
LED Retrofit & Upgrade
Many businesses across the Bay Area and Northern California still have aging neon or fluorescent channel letter signs. We retrofit existing structures with modern commercial LED systems — lowering energy costs and restoring like-new visibility.
Permit & Compliance
Sign permitting varies by city across the Bay Area and Northern California. We handle the full permit process for every jurisdiction — drawings, applications, and inspector coordination — so you never have to deal with city planning departments on your own.
Sign Repair & Maintenance
We service and repair existing channel letter signs throughout the Bay Area and Northern California — fixing dead LEDs, replacing cracked acrylic faces, repainting oxidized letter bodies, and restoring loose mounting hardware. We come to you.
